Vercel

This guide adds the DNS records from Adding and verifying a domain at Vercel.

Take the exact values from the records array of your domain (dashboard, API or spacepost domains doctor acme.com). The shape is always:

Type Name Value Notes
CNAME <token1>._domainkey <token1>.dkim.amazonses.com Three CNAMEs, one per token
MX send feedback-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonses.com Priority 10
TXT send v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all Return-path SPF
TXT _dmarc v=DMARC1; p=none; Recommended
  1. In the Vercel dashboard open Domains, select acme.com and go to DNS Records.
  2. Click Add for each record.
  3. Name: enter the relative name (a1b2c3d4e5f6._domainkey, send, _dmarc). Leave empty only for the root.
  4. Choose the Type, paste the Value. For MX also set Priority to 10.
  5. Save. Vercel DNS changes are applied within a minute or so.

This only applies if your domain uses Vercel nameservers. If DNS is hosted elsewhere (check with dig NS acme.com), add the records there instead.

With the Vercel CLI:

Terminal window
vercel dns add acme.com a1b2c3d4e5f6._domainkey CNAME a1b2c3d4e5f6.dkim.amazonses.com
vercel dns add acme.com send MX feedback-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonses.com 10
vercel dns add acme.com send TXT "v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all"
vercel dns add acme.com _dmarc TXT "v=DMARC1; p=none;"

After saving, run spacepost domains doctor acme.com or call POST /domains/{id}/verify. If it does not verify, see Troubleshooting.
