GoDaddy

This guide adds the DNS records from Adding and verifying a domain at GoDaddy.

Take the exact values from the records array of your domain (dashboard, API or spacepost domains doctor acme.com). The shape is always:

Type Name Value Notes
CNAME <token1>._domainkey <token1>.dkim.amazonses.com Three CNAMEs, one per token
MX send feedback-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonses.com Priority 10
TXT send v=spf1 include:amazonses.com ~all Return-path SPF
TXT _dmarc v=DMARC1; p=none; Recommended
  1. In GoDaddy open My Products, then DNS next to your domain.
  2. In DNS Records click Add New Record.
  3. Name: enter the relative name (a1b2c3d4e5f6._domainkey, send, _dmarc). GoDaddy appends the domain. @ means the root.
  4. CNAME: Data is the target value. TTL 1 hour is fine.
  5. MX: Priority 10, Data is feedback-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonses.com.
  6. TXT: Value without quotes.
  7. Save.

GoDaddy sometimes rejects the DKIM CNAME if a record with the same name exists. Delete the conflicting record first.

If the domain uses GoDaddy’s Microsoft 365 email, do not touch the root MX or SPF records; the send subdomain records live next to them.

After saving, run spacepost domains doctor acme.com or call POST /domains/{id}/verify. If it does not verify, see Troubleshooting.
