Compliance

You are the sender, and the law holds you responsible for the mail you send. This page summarises the practical rules. It is not legal advice.

  • Send marketing mail only to people who opted in. Never buy, rent or scrape lists.
  • Keep a record of when and how each person consented. SpacePost asks how your marketing recipients opted in when you complete your sending profile.
  • Use a clear signup form that says what you will send.
  • Honor unsubscribes immediately. SpacePost does this automatically for broadcasts.

Spam, phishing, malware, purchased lists and deceptive content are prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy you accepted at sign-up. Violations lead to automatic pausing or account termination.

  • SpacePost is a processor for the contact data you upload. Contact us at support@spacepost.dev for a data processing agreement.
  • To erase a person, delete the contact with DELETE /audiences/{id}/contacts/{idOrEmail} and remove their address from the suppression list only if they ask for it (keeping a suppression for a hard bounce or complaint is a legitimate interest).
  • Email logs are deleted automatically after your plan’s retention period (30 days on Free and Pro, 60 days on Scale).

Bulk senders (5,000+ messages a day to Gmail or Yahoo addresses) must also authenticate with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, offer one-click unsubscribe, and keep spam rates below 0.3%. See Gmail and Yahoo rules.
